Exploring landscape through taste

These images were produced for the studio course, 'Integrating Theory and Practice' (LA 6010) in Fall 2020 and focused on waterfront lanf in Ithaca, NY that had several uses, including community gardens, a farmer's market, a watewater treatment plant, a waterfront walkway, and a gas storage facility. I explored the site based in the sense of taste, looking at edible plants and food web relationships onsite. I proposed expanding and highlighting the presence of both edible plants and pollinator-friendly plants on site through the creation of a sculptural fence that included information on plant species to educate the general public.
